Thai military Stop Regular Radio and Television Broadcasting

Armed Forces of Thailand , Thursday ( 22/05/2014 ) , ordered all radio and television stations to temporarily suspend their regular broadcasts and broadcast only military statements .

A military spokesman in a televised announcement saying , this step is taken to ensure the " accuracy " of the people received the news .

Previously , the Thai Armed Forces Chief General Prayut Chan - O - Chan through televised speech announced that the military took over the government after seven months of chaotic politics never ends .

" To restore to normal state quickly , the National Peacekeeping Committee consisting of the Army , Air Force , and the Thai police took power on May 22, 2014 at 16:30 , " said General Prayut Chan - O - Chan .

This coup statement just two days after the military declared martial law conditions in Thailand . However , when the military asserted that it is not an emergency coup .
